As long as your daughter can understand instruction from a riding instructor then she should be ok. Both my daughter and I ride - she started riding around 4, when I felt that her spine was developed enough to sit correctly in the saddle. She should also never ride alone at this age and should be "lead" by an adult as horses can be very unpredictable. We have had years of fun riding and I am sure your daughter will also.

If you intend sending her to a riding school then you will need to ask them on their lower age limit, many are 5 for insurance puposes.
I have my own horses and my 20 month old rides reguarly, you are never to young to start.

I started and finished riding at 32, got bucked off and broke arm in 3 places. Had rod and screw put in arm to hold it in place. Get a well trained horse!

no not if you find a good stables who will give her a good little pony and lead her about etc. i started horse riding when i was about 4

no, I started riding around that age, and I also learnt discipline, confidence and other important lessons, I also had many special 'best friends' over the years
