this guy showed me this trick but wouldn't show me how to do it,he'd said he'd show me next time.anyway,you make2triangles using matches and you can only move 1 match for them to become4triangles.does anyone know wat to do,its really annoying me,i no its simple but i just cant get it and i want to impress him.

2 seperate triangls? That means 6 match stick right?

You make a 3d pyramid.

Use 1 triangle as a base. Then use the remaining 3 matchstick to build the pyramid.

Its 4 rather than 4 triangles

If you look at the figure 4 then add a line from the bottom of the for to the left hand edge of the 4, you have your original 2 triangles.

Take five matches. Make two triangles in a diamond shape. There are two of your triangles. No matter what you do, you will still have those two. Now, take your last match, and intesect the match seperating the two triangles near one of the ends. You will create two small right triangles at one end. Actually, this creates 5 triangles, because the two right triangles form a another one.

if you only can move one of them take one match from the the other triangle and put it under the other one and it will look like a 4
see put the match under the right side to make the lone longer...

Don't know how to do it with the matches, but when I read the question all I could think of was.... introduce the two triangles and hope twins runs in their family history.
