Babyfood and formula are okay as long as the baby is traveling with you. You can check the TSA's website for the latest security updates: www.tsa.gov.

I was able to take baby formula on the plane just last week. Check with the airport you'll be traveling from to see about jars of baby food. They should let you take it, as long as you have a baby with you.

I am pretty sure baby food and formula are exceptions to the rule, they just need to be inspected

You can take these things but you have to taste it in front of the airport security staff. Check with the airline's website to be sure.
