I am trying to copy a list of attendees at an event from the event website to EXCEL. When I paste it in it becomes a paragraph although the links remain active. All I need are two colums of data, the name of the participant and his telephone number. Is ther an easy way to do this?

First, do a paste special into Word as unformatted text.

Then do Table > Convert > Text to table

You might have to experiment just a little to find the delimiter - maybe a space, maybe a tab.

Then it should convert to a table with your two columns.

From there, just copy the table and paste into excel.

First paste the data into Word or a text file. Then copy the data into Excel.

When you paste into Excel, try the Paste Special. You'd have to play around with which options to use. I hope this helps.

First paste it into Notepad - then copy it from notepad and paste it into Excel.

Or save the web page and open it in Excel.
