To all those people saying that that time has not yet come, why don't we act justly and kindly to each other and bring such an age on ourselves?

isaiah 2:4 is a traditional well-known messianic prophecy. the entire verse is saying that when the messiah comes, leaders will look to him for guidance and he will bring world peace.

Luke 22:35-37 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. KJV

Why do you think our founding fathers thought it was so important to include the second amendment in the Constitution? We've got to be able to protect ourselves.

Look at England right now, they can't own guns and crime is spiraling out of control. Likewise in Washington D.C. and Australia.

Christ is pro sword and pro gun. Self defense is an inalienable right granted to us by our creator, not a privilege granted by government.

The goal is to end all war. A just war seeks to have an end, and to lesson violence. For example, a dictator who kills children needs to be stopped, but since he's the leader of his country the only way is war. But once he's out, the violence lessons, because children aren't being killed by him any longer.

The Scripture you cite pertains to the Messianic Age, a.k.a. Millenial Reign. It does not pertain to today, unfortunately.

Christians are taught that there is only ONE instance where they are to stay silent and not fight: when they are being persecuted due to their faith. God's Word upholds a nation's right to defend itself. This is why many Christians will go to war. However, some feel they cannot due to their religious convictions. That is their choice; but they should not condemn another Christian for making the opposite decision.

Peace.

this verse is talking about the last days, read the verses before it.... when God will be exhaulted in Jerusalem and all the nations know that the God of Isreal is God. See Ezekiel too.

Dude, AFTER the judgement there will be peace. I'm not even a Christian and I can recognize a statement taken out of context. Give it a rest.

THERE will have to be wars and rumors of wars until the end. We are to protect our own, if we don't we are worse than the infidels, in heaven there will be no more wars,,, not here on earth, they will continue for all time man is on this planet..

True Christians don't take part in wars. Their allegiance is to one government or kingdom, Gods.

Because some Christians will follow the Bible only when it suits them.

well that is taken out of context...that scripture is talking about after the tribulation and in the millennium....we are to fight the good fight and to take a stand against all things unholy.......it is all through the Bible that God had his people fight against injustices etc.
God's Universal Reign

1 The word which Isaiah R67 the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

2 Now it will come about that

In R68 the last days

The mountain R69 of the house of the LORD

Will be established as F16 the chief of the mountains,

And will be raised above the hills;

And all R70 the nations will stream to it.

3 And many peoples will come and say,

"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,

To the house of the God of Jacob;

That He may teach us concerning F17 His ways

And that we may walk in His paths."

For the law F18 will go forth from R71 Zion

And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4 And He will judge between the nations,

And will render F19 decisions for many peoples;

And they R72 will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.

Nation R73 will not lift up sword against nation,

And never again will they learn war.

5 Come, house R74 of Jacob, and let us walk in the light R75 of the LORD.

6 For You have abandoned R76 Your people, the house of Jacob,

Because they are filled with influences from the east,

And they are soothsayers like R77 the Philistines,

And they strike R78 bargains with the children of foreigners.

7 Their land has also been filled with silver and gold

And there is no end to their treasures;

Their land has also been filled with horses R79

And there is no end to their chariots.

8 Their land has also been filled R80 with idols;

They worship the work R81 of their hands,

That which their fingers have made.

9 So the R82 common man has been humbled

And the man of importance has been abased,

But do R83 not forgive them.

10 Enter R84 the rock and hide in the dust

From R85 the terror of the LORD and from the splendor of His majesty.

11 The proud R86 F20 look of man will be abased

And the loftiness R87 of man will be humbled,

And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.

A Day of Reckoning Coming

12 For the LORD of hosts will have a day of reckoning

Against everyone R88 who is proud and lofty

And against everyone who is lifted up,

That he may be abased.

13 And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up,

Against all the oaks R89 of Bashan,

14 Against all the lofty R90 mountains,

Against all the hills that are lifted up,

15 Against every high R91 tower,

Against every fortified wall,

16 Against all the ships R92 of Tarshish

And against all the beautiful craft.

17 The pride of man will be humbled

And the loftiness of men will be abased;

And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day,

18 But the idols R93 will completely vanish.

19 Men will go R94 into caves of the rocks

And into holes of the ground F21

Before the terror of the LORD

And the splendor of His majesty,

When He arises to R95 make the earth tremble.

20 In that day men will cast R96 away to the moles and the bats R97

Their idols of silver and their idols of gold,

Which they made for themselves to worship,

21 In order to go R98 into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs

Before the terror of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty,

When He arises to make the earth tremble.

22 Stop R99 F22 regarding man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils;

For why R100 F23 should he be esteemed?
