I would start with taking Cranberry capsules everyday. You have to drink alot of cranberry juice to equal the tablets not to mention the extra calories in the juice. Please get checked out by a urologist to make sure there isn't an organic/anatomical reason why you are getting these infections. Research the web, and if the problem still plagues you go on an acid/ash diet, it prevents kidney stones/infections/etc. Younger doctors often don't prescribe it but it does work. I think the cranberry capsules maybe enough Calvary!

I've suffered with kidney infections numerous time.... Stay away from Soda, Tea , any thing that has caffeine and I know everyone is telling you to go with Cranberry Juice but My doctor told me that the more cranberry juice you drink the higher your chances of getting kidney stones... He was right about the cranberry juice... everyone told me that my doctor was wrong about cranberry juice so I drank 4 8oz glasses of cranberry juice a day with 8 8oz. glasses of water I ended up with some major stones... The best thing you can do is drink plenty of water and go to your doctor when you think an infection is present... If the reoccur too often you may have other problems causing the infections aside from your diet...

Actually the link between drinking cranberry juice and preventing kidney infections has been studied . Cranberry juice does have chemical that interferes with the binding of bacteria to the bladder (not kidney) but one would have to drink over 12 oz (500 cc)of pure cranberry juice to have any effect and most cranberry juice that is in stores is watered down with water and corn syrup.http://www.thescizone.com/info/articles/100/1/Cranberry-Therapy-of-Urinary-Tract-Infections
It is true that frequent voiding after drinking any liquid may frevent kidney and bladder infections but urinary reflux and bladder/intestinal connections (sometimes occurs in inflammatory conditions like ileitis can also cause it.
If you hav have this many, I would go to a urologist to make sure you do not have an underlying condition.

good luck

Soda and other carbonated beverages can cause kidney infections. If you drink lots of these that is probably your problem. Drinking lots of juices especially cranberry juice should help some especially if you cut back on soda.
You may want to consult a doctor, there may be something more serious.

Have you eaten a lot of Kidney Beans lately? If you happened to get a "bad bean", that could cause infections that will come back over and over unless you counter it with heavy doses of garbanzo beans for a week or so and it should cure the problem.
