Former US Ambassador to Canada, Paul Celluci wants Canada to put water into the NAFTA agreement. Given the US habit of not always following the rules of NAFTA when it does not suit and further given that once in NAFTA, Canada would have to provide water even if it becomes a detriment to Canada, should Canada give up it's sovereign right to safeguard this particular resource. I'm all for sharing but, the US track record on NAFTA is shaky at best.
