I'm not Christian, I'm a Pagan I do believe that Jesus existed, but he was a man, A good man but just a man none the less, The Bible is a male perspective on History. written over a long period of time from many different people from stories that were hundreds or thousand years old. I think that most Christians do not follow the true teachings of Jesus, nor do they Even know What they are. They are really are a basic principle that people of any religion should follow, Treat people they way you want to be treated, Love your fellow man, Accept and repect there differences.

I'm an Agnosticist, with a very deep respect of Jesus's words in the Gospel. It doesn't take a Christian Fundamentalist to appreciate ideas that stand the test of time.
Do I believe all if throroughly...? Well, I'd say there's some doubt and skepticism of things, even though some of the bible is oddly shaped around events that probably did occur.
The bible itself is a mixture of the old testment and new ie Judaism and Jesus; so essentially your taking a rather large view of religion and trying to make some cohesion out of them. Generally, I view the bible and christianity as an interpetation of 'truth', and that like any other interpetation it can be flawed.
I'd much rather look at Christs words and the lesson of the old testments, and take them as stories to learn from; and if I had that huge faith that others had, I wouldn't rely too much on the words of others (on what's true or not) to decipher if the message was right....and when it comes down to it, is the message of Jesus right?
I'd say yes.
Read it as an average person, whether you believe or disbelieve, and I'm sure you'll find value in it....I did.

Bible: man-made writings based on half-truths, superstition, myth and falsehoods.
Jesus & Christianity: It is not known whether a Jesus Christ did exist. If he did, he may well have claimed to be the son of God – as did thousands of others. There is no evidence whatsoever that he rose from the dead.
There is no need for religion in today's society. In fact the world would be a safer place without it, as it would have been over the last 2000 years.

I believe that Jesus was a real man, but most of the accounts of his life are greatly exaggerated or made up, seeing as most is either impossible or so similar to earlier myths about the god Horus that they should be disregarded. The bible may be a source of morality for some people, but as the premise of the bible is unproved and very possibly incorrect, I disregard it as a piece of fictional literature. Christianity has done little good for the world as a whole. Some people may garner great strength from their personal beliefs, but the hatred, killing, and persecution that has stemmed from Christianity, Islam, and Judaism far outweighs any positive effects on the world these religions and others may have caused.

I think Christianity as a whole has been poisoned by interpretations of the bible by man. The bible has been the basis for the slaughter of millions upon millions of innocent people since its conception and original printing. More often than not, the murder has been done in order to gain power and influence. Rarely has it been done to honestly help the people of a particular society.
If Christians would get back to the words spoken by their Son of God and act on them, respect for their faith would grow exponentially. Instead, we all must suffer the pure insanity and consummate evil spewed from the mouths of so called Christians like Pat Robertson. To this day, I am still taken aback and completely astonished by his call to assassinate the legitimate leader of Venezuela. Which to all of us non believers begs the question, "Who would Jesus assassinate?"
Of course, Jesus would assassinate no one. That's the incredibly sad irony of it all.
The same thing can be said for Islam. In one breath they are trying to convince us that their faith is peaceful. Yet they murder a nun over words spoken by the Catholic leader. She did nothing wrong yet she is dead because of someone else's "words."
Can anyone besides me see the hideous irony in all of this?

I believe that the Bible is the Word of God.
I believe that Christianity is about putting what God said to do in His Word into action.

Jesus-My savior. THE reason I am allowed to wake up every day because I am a sinner and He died on the cross for my sins. Without Him in my life, I would be lost.
The Bible-THE book with ALL the answers to EVERY question we will ever have.
Christianity-The religion of Christ and His teachings and how He and His Father unconditionally love us. It is cut and dry and does not sugar coat. The way I am.

I can truly say that I do love Jesus. I don't even know if he existed, but the ideal Jesus whom I've learned about is an amazing fellow. The Bible and Christianity are not, for they defy Jesus in his very name.
