Hi

I'm going to meet a 19 years old girl and sure I like her a lot. I didn't want to seem pushy so I just said to her that it won't be really a date but just a meeting.. like friends, you know.. and we'll see what happens later.

What I want to ask is should I bring her flowers or go with empty hands? It's not very nice not to bring anything but flowers may also spoil it..

thanks for helping

Well, if what you told her is how you want this to be, then you shouldn't take anything, cause she probably wont be expecting anything, but, a lot of girls would like to receive something, whether you call it a date or not or you could get her something while your out.

If you think you should get her something, then perhaps you may want to make a CD with cover of some nice tunes, with a stem (flower) not a rose, but something nice (ask your mom or sister and let them know you are serious).

Most of all, be yourself. Let her see who you are and pay attention to her. you don't have to be the nice guy, just being yourself is enough, that's how friend are and you don't have to impress her, she'll know if you're good enough for her.

Flowers

Flowers could be really nice, just not anything considered romantic like roses. I would say try something bright and cheerful, a mixed bouquet with gerber daisies and salidago, maybe irises. Or, to show that you really put some thought into it, try a quirky little gift that says I was thinking about YOU, or listening to you...like a CD from a band you talked about, or a key chain with some random character you know she likes on. Then there is no pressure to make things become more than friends, but it does show you care enough to know something about her.

Do you take all of your friends flowers? If yes then take them as a symbol of friendship. Maybe even attach a poem about friendship so she doesn't misconstrue the flowers. If you wanted the meeting to be more don't offer the option just as friends. Maybe she wants more too but playing games will get you nowhere. Be straight.

Most definately take her flowers! the picking one for her in the park very good idea. Make sure you pay for dinner too, it gets the point across too. Remember all the stuff your mom told u too. lol open the door help w/ her coat pull the chair out all that stuff, women love this and men who do it are few and far between, makes a woman feel special

Maybe instead of a bunch of flowers, just buy one. Maybe a single pink stargazer lily, then at least you have something to give and it won't be over the top. Good luck and have fun!!!

don't be nervous.just be your natural self.get her some flowers-that would definitely be a nice beginning of the date and since it's your first date, give her all the attention she needs and wants and be sure to treat her with respect and care.if u've got a loose toungue,be careful to keep it in control.be sensitive with your words or it might ruin your first date.good luck.

dude, if you're the romantic type, then yes, get her flowers, then i would be a date. it would contradict your earlier statement. take her out, pay for everything. make sure you both have fun; she'll might give you a scond date. be a good listener; try not to talk about yourself. dress nice and clean. get a trim. you'll be judge from head to toe.
