Shes in heat!

You need to take your dog to the VET NOW! Drooling is NOT related to a dog in heat. There is something else going on and the sooner you find out the better. Don't waste anymore time - just GO!

It's possible that she is internally hemorrhaging. The drool may be a panting/pain response. You need to get her to a vet NOW. She could bleed out and go into shock (which can kill a dog in as little as 10 minutes). Get her to the emergency room NOW.

Your female shephard is in heat and unless you want puppies... do not leave her unattended outside!! Simply make sure that she has plenty of fresh water and that she is kept some place that is easy to clean up. If you don't plan on breeding the animal... I would suggest getting her spayed and you won't have to go through this situation again. Just to be on the safe side, I would make an appointment with your vet to make sure everything is alright with the animal. Best of luck!

Sounds like parvo virus or possibly strep, both of which are extremely serious (life threatening) so take her to a vet asap so they can attempt to treat her. Do hope she'll be ok - let us know how she gets on.

If she is bleeding that heavy I would take her to the Vet, the odds are that something is not right. It sounds like something is wrong, and often with big dogs you can have serious problems, if it was me I would consider having her spayed.

when they are in heat, they do NOT bleed heavily, nor do they drool excessively. Call a vet, and see if they could help you because this is NOT normal...

take her to the vet. the blood might actually be coming from the anus and be a sign of irritable bowel, or worse, an obstruction. get her to the vet quick smart, this is much more serious than being in heat.

Sounds like something is seriously wrong, you should take her to the vet right away. She may have pyometra which is life-threatening and requires an emergency spay.
