Neither - both are overrated. For the, hands-down, absolute-best, true-Italian food in NYC, you have to go to i Trulli east 27th b/w Park & Lex.

The food is hands down the best Italian outside of Italy and there's an Enoteca (wine bar) that you can get flights of wine and they have a menu there as well. I've eaten in both the main restaurant and the Enoteca and they're both amazing.

I would avoid those 2 restaurants and go to il cantinori
