Alter Boyz was great! and we dont appreciate many musicals
The Daily Show- wahooo! beent here and you are lucky to get tickets. Jon talks to the audience before so if you have a question for him- shout it out.
The best bet, weather permitting is to walk-
In one day your can walk from the Village, thri Soho, into little Italy/China town, to the Brooklyn Bridge and Wall Street, South Street Seaport. If nothing else, when you got to Ellis Island, you'll be at lower manhattan an be able to walk up thru the Wal Strret area to Chinatown etc.
Dont try to see everything, take your time and take in what you see.
Have Fun

I would not recommend Little Italy - there is very little of that area left - it's basically been taken over by China Town.
Soho is nice, it's a great, young hip area. Just start at Broadway & Houston and work your way south on Broadway. There's really great shopping and lots of nice areas to eat/
If you're seeing a musical, I highly recommend the Lion King. Ellis Island is beautiful, but there isn't a whole lot to do. Try the American Museum of Natural History - there's a lot to see, and there is a wonderful cafeteria inside the museum. The South Street Seaport is wonderful - lots of shops and places to eat, you can take a ride around NYC from there. The Bodies exhibition is down there too.

i've heard some of the music from altar boyz and i think it's funny, it sounds like a good show. when i was in nyc, i saw wicked and that was phenomenal! i would definitely recommend it. we also bought tour tickets, which took us through china town, upper manhattan, wall street, macy's, etc - we got to see a lot in one day. so i would really recommend getting a one-day tour. i also enjoyed going by the world trade center - even if it's just rubble now, it's still really interesting to see where it all happened. and i would also recommend rockefellar plaza - we went there around christmas time and it was beautiful! i dont know how it would be this time of year, though.

Definitely go to Little Italy and Chinatown.
I haven't seen either of those shows. I would recommend seeing The Drowsy Chaperone!
And if it's a nice day, you should take a walk around Central Park, maybe go to the little zoo there or the carousel there. Also, look for places outside of Times Square to eat. The food will be much better.

i live in NYC and i really don't check out the musicals. the only one was RENT and that was really good. Soho is nothing special besides all the old buildings and expensive retail stores i guess. the kennedys lived there. little italy and hcinatown are special places to check out and you could walk the brooklyn bridge or take it when your there.Central Park is fun. i always ride my bike there or take a walk when ever i have a chance. hop this helps

If you are looking for recommendations for shows, I would contact Seth Rudesky. He's a DJ for Sirius on Broadway's best. He is completely involved in theatre and has AMAZING taste in shows. He will tell you to see the Producers - He's the pianist. It is a great show though. Anywho Seth's e-mail is seth.rudetsky@sirius.com
ENJOY YOUR TRIP
