My husband has a home made tattoo. He has had it for about 5 years no problems. For the past 2 nights its been really sore and raised up like he just got it done. Should we be concerned or does anyone know whats going on? Thanks!

I have had the same problem. From time to time one of my tattoos will become raised and irritated. My tattoo artist informed me that sometimes cheaper ink as acrylic in it. It is probably an allergic reaction to the acrylic as mine is. But I would not be too concerned unless it becomes warm to the touch. Best bet is to find a REPUTABLE tattoo shop near you and just ask.

well its definitely sounds like it is infected Ive never heard of it happening 5 yrs later . maybe he has a bug bite or something else happening in the same area but go see a doc just in case

my husband has an old tatoo it does just the same thing you described when he goes out in the sun too long .. has he been sunning ?

If he had just gotten it, I would say he might have a systemic (blood) infection.
I would still see a doctor about it.

sounds like he may have an allergic reaction or an infection please be sure he goes to a Dr. in the NEAR
