I would think that Ali would have vigorously attempted to stop his daughter, Laila, from pursueing a boxing career...same goes for Joe Frazier's kid...

Bejabbers2003 ~
You are a little misinformed, "The Greatest" is in the condition he is in because of advanced Parkinson's disease not from pugilistic dementia (brain damage from boxing). There have been a lot more boxers than Ali than that have taken punishment to the head that have not ended up with his disorder, it's easy for a person to say what has happened to Ali was because of his profession but Michael J. Fox, the actor has Parkinson's too, but because of the very nature of Boxing, people that are not informed like to connect the dots.
Is there a connection between people who boxed and Parkinson's Disease no there is not, though the ever popular AMA (American Medical Association) is pushing for a connection with the hopes to banning professional and amateur boxing.
Ali as well as Smoking Joe both support their daughters and their trades. Laila doesn't have to worry about suffering any type of injury due to the fact that she's ducking any woman who can actually fight like Anne Wolfe and Leticia Robinson.
Hope this helped. Thanks for the question Bejabbers2003.

Tyrone B, Did you copy "Passion" from somebody else?

I'm not quite sure but I think the rap is that he has a neural disease of some sort but alot of people think it's bull, so they say he got his brains beat out. As I remember it he only really got hurt real bad once, and that was one of the Frazier bouts, though to be fair it probably didn't help much.

Why does anyone box if it's so brutal ? Why does anyone smoke if it's gonna kill you ? Maybe it's just something Laila wanted to do. I believe it's still okay to follow your dreams, even if they are potentially dangerous. Are you okay with kids who ride bikes without body armor ? I thought it was pretty cool (in grade school) to show off my cuts and scars, the bigger and bloodier the better, my honor badges of the playground.

the Love for the Game at weigh the Risk when you ask her daughter. Ali most have tried to stop her but in life, we are free to make and be accountable for our decission. The Passion of what you love at weigh any risk. Just as if you are in Love with a woman nothing will change your mind. no matter what your parent will SAY or DO.

Thats what you called doing something you really love and if she did get The same disease as ger Father because of fighting, at least she got it from doing what she love.
