We knew he and a friend were planning to blow up something.
Would it be worth it to break his arm to save 180 people from death and an equal number from injury?
Is it moral to not let people die or is it more moral to not harm Timothy?

Now there is a question over what the CIA can do. This is what is under debate, the Torture that the Democrats and 4 Republicans are trying to stop.
Cold rooms
forced standing
sleep deprivation
grabbing a suspects shirt
slapping their belly
loud rock music
bright lights
That`s it! Nothing else not even water boarding beating or binding. A technique our own soldiers go through in training for when they get captured. Is it moral to do these things to prevent 10 planes with 2000 people on board from going down in the Atlantic?

I would have subjected him to some tough interrogation. Not broke his arm, that is not necessary. Sleep deprivation, isolation, loud music and uncomfortable positions would have sufficed.

Umm, why would you do anything to a person who has not done anything?
If it were RIGHT before the bombing, say when they loaded the truck and took off, it would have been great to have him stopped on a routine traffic violation, the truck inspected, and everyone involved arrested. Then all those innocent people would not have had to die, and there would be no violence involved.
I sincerely doubt that a broken arm would have stopped such a maniac.
Who is the "we" who knew that he we going to blow up something? Some police agency? If so, then they would have been following him or questioning him, no?
Rather an odd hypothetical question. He's already been executed - what more do you want done to him?

Why don't you try going through legal channels before taking law enforcement in your own hands? If a person hasn't committed a crime yet you could be in bigger trouble if you personally take action against that person and you were incorrect as to what the person was planning to do. Taking the law into your own hands could open you up to a whole bunch of unwanted legal consequences. Good luck to you if you decide to become a vigilante, but you could be treading on some dangerous ground. Hmmmmm

If anyone knew, I'm sure they would have stopped or tried to stop him. If no one knew, which apparently no one in a position to stop him did, the bomb would go off. If I knew he was going to do it, would I break his arm? Not unless I was the only person who could stop him and I'd have done a lot worse.
Unfortunately, those people DID die, and Timothy McVeigh was executed already, so it's a pointless question.
