I painted a big sign "Please clean up after your dog"

I once had a big fight with my neighbor who had 5 dogs living in her house. She'd have them poop and pee on my lawn and I actually caught her letting her dog poop and pee on my lawn. So I said "Please pick up after your dog" She had this attitude and said "That's what grass is for" So I told her, "OH REALLY, Well then I'll pull my pants down and sh*t and Piss on your lawn" She cursed me out of course!

The next day, I scooped up all the poop in my yard and threw it on her drive way.

Get their owners to stop letting them on your lawn would be my first line of defense. The dogs are only doing what their owners allow them. This question had been asked and answered many times here with varying replies, but most include a motion sensor attached to the hose, which comes on when they enter the yard and one good squirt deserves another, LOL! And another is offering up the DISGUSTING piece of feces the owners left behind after their "visit" and returning it to them with the "You forgot this" while handing them the offending bag of doo or a note saying the same....or putting it in a bag, lighting it on fire and ringing the doorbell and running (dangerous, stupid and likely to get you caught and charged with something), photographing the offending dog and showing it to the police who will write them a ticket. Or try talking to them politely as a neighbor, having a "problem" with people letting their pets poop in your yard, and how you are going to take care of the problem by setting up a camera and turning it over to the police for prosecution. Anyone of these might help. I am in favor of one, where when you see them coming with the dog you go stand outside and stare at them, if they have the stones to let their dog poop in front of you, you can say quite rightly, "do you mind picking THAT up out of MY YARD? I'm tired of doing it for you!" and handing them a tissue, newspaper or whatever and suggest they carry one in the future. The easiest way is to hand them a bag, they can pick it up without their hand actually touching it, and throw it out at their own home. Sometimes you just have to take the bull by the horns and tend to it head on! Shame can be a wonderful thing.......

Get some fire crackers and toss them out when the dogs are there. Don't throw it right at them but close enough to give them a fright. Soon they will be avoiding you like the plague.
Either that or set up humane traps and hold them ransom until the owner cleans up the mess. There are leash laws so they are in the wrong to begin with.

Have a great day!!!

Are these dogs that are being walked by their owners? If they are then by all means talk to the owners -- if, however they're like the dogs around my neighborhood they are just running loose - the only surefire solution I've found is to put up a fence of some kind

Spray pepper on the lawn. They will not like the scent. Also, you can check your local pet store for additional information.

Find out who their owners are, and tell them to take their dogs somewhere else. Or you could put a little fence up.

Sprinkle some cayenne pepper along the front border - when the dogs start smelling, they'll move on... quickly.

They are going on your yard because they are trying to claim it as their territory. You can break them of that.

Go to a farm feed store and buy wolf urine. Spray it on the perimeter of your yard and on the spot where other dogs go. They will instantly recognize it as the alpha male and will not dare go on your yard again. No other animals will go on your yard again.

Trust me, it works!!!

Speak with their owners. Ask them to kindly clean up after their dogs.
