Here is an example,

6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

Matthew 7:6 (New King James Version)

And that was I think about 2000 years ago, about half hour ago someone on yahoo answers refered to Atheists as jellyfish, saying they have no brain.

Why do Christians dehumanize non-Christians? Its not all that do, just some.

Some may wonder why I pick on Christians, that everyone does this. I guess I would expect more from someone who follows Chr . . . err, he called non-Christians swine. Yeah I guess thats exactly what I would expect a follower of Christ to do, call non-Christians dogs (Matthew 15:22).

Godfather quote - let them have drugs they are animals they have no souls.

Am I - a non - Christian - soul less? Am I no different than a bottle of Ketchup?

JC in matt 7:6 is talking about the jewish leaders of that day, its refer to people who have unsincere hearts, mocking spirit, ignorant, spread hate, prejudice, narrowminded & hell-bend in opposing or pulling JC (christian) down. so JC is not dehumanizing them, they have done a good job on themselves.

many non-christian like yourself r not that sort of people, so these passage does not apply to you & insult & dehumanlizing wouldn't be directed at you. if u want proof , check all the reply i have given u so far, any dehumanizing there? that's coz your attitude & heart is in the right place regardless of your beliefs.

People get pretty passionate about their beliefs. Not long ago on this site someone said that Christians were brainless...

Anyway in Matthew 7:6 "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs", generally means to not offer good and holy things to those who will spurn and pervert them. *

If someone is closed to hearing the Word of God, taking time to try to explain it doesn't do any good, because they have already made up their mind not to believe. The bible has many verses about this phenomenon.

You are not soul less my friend. You are much better than a bottle of ketchup. Jesus loves you and spilled His precious blood on the cross for my sins and your sins. He took the beatings and the humiliation so that each one of us would have the opportunity to live eternally in heaven with Him, IF we accept Him and follow Him. And like it or not, believe it or not - I KNOW from years of bible study and searching that Jesus is the WAY. THE only Way to eternal life in heaven with God.

That's the part that trips people up, cause in order to have that salvation, a person needs to admit that they need a savior.

Matthew 7:7 Says ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find knock and it shall be opened to you."

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise as some count slowness but is patient toward you not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

I am truly sorry that some people who profess to be Christians (followers of Jesus) would treat another human being badly.

First of all I want to tell you that you are not soul less and not less important than a bottle of ketchup to me or to God.

God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to the earth as a sinless man to die for our sins. We are all sinful creatures. Jesus was the only human that had no sin. Therefore, He became the ultimate sacrifice to take our place for the wrongs that we committed in the past, present and future.

God loves you so much and you are so important that He sacrificed His Son for You. Jesus blood removes sin when we repent (turn away from sin) and accept Him as our Lord and Savior we are forgiven and free. Jesus is the only way to God.

Jesus accepts you right now. Just as you are. You don't have to do anything to make him love you. Just come to Him. He has already died for you. He is now alive and is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He loves you. He can fix anything in your life.

The true God (the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ) values all people on planet earth enough to send His Son Jesus to die for us. John 3:16 states this plainly, saying that His love for us is His motivation in saving us. However, if you refuse His free gift of salvation, you then choose to reject Him and that makes you not much better to Him than a dog or a swine. Now mind you, He is a God of great mercy and is not willing that anyone should perish. But He has to make a distinction between those who receive His gift of salvation and those who ultimately refuse Him. His original intent in creating us was to be just like Himself. Refusal of that divine character and nature makes you nothing more than another animal to be destroyed (if that is the choice you make).

Dehumanize non-Christians? That's just nuts. Even God is not a respecter of persons. He loves and is more concerned about non-Christians than His own. His own are taken care of.

Some of your answers here are the perfect example of why not to "cast your pearls to swine". In other words, leave them alone. (Dehumanizing?)

To dehumanize something makes it different and less than you. When one does this it is easy to feel superior to it and dismiss it.

Yes of course you are different than a bottle of ketchup. You have the ability to have, feel and show emotions. You live life and savor the experiences. You are uniquely human.

A bottle of ketchup... well that's really just crushed tomatoes. It helps food taste better but in no way is comparable to what you can do.

First off if you feel that way because of what other people say that is an issue with your self esteem! if your not mature enough to handle these things then why do you contuie to try and put us down . Your doing the very thing you say we shoudn't do! you quote the bible but don't belive it so why do you try to use it against Christians ?? I tell you why you know what the bible say's is right you just choose not to do it so instead you try to use it as a weapon aginst people you believe are making you feel guilty about the things you are doing in your life that are displesaing to God. You are acountable for your own actions so quit trying to put the blame on others . But you are right Christians are to be examples but then again not everyone who claims to know God does. but even so if you let what they say bother you it's your own fault.you also say that you make fun of christians because everyone does it I guess if everyone was jumping into fire filled buildings you would to??! Grow up and be who God called you to be and quit trying to find someone to blame your own actions on

You got to be kidding me right? The problem with your question is that is in the fallacy of "begging the question." You’re using circular reasoning. This means that you’re assuming something that you have not yet proven and then making a point from that statement.

Did Christians say that or did God? The obvious answer is that God said it. So, your difficulty is really not with "some Christians" but with God.

The same could be turned around to say "Why do some, not all do, some non-Christians dehumanize Christians?" The key word is "some." You will never really know why "some" people do the things they do unless you ask them directly.

Dehumanizing other people is always a character flaw, whether it is done by Christians or non Christians. But it is how wars are fought, commerce is conducted and ruthlessness justified.
