As simply as i can put it.
it depends on how long between taking the last pill of a pack and starting the next pack.
When started within 6 days of the start of a period or within 6 days after an abortion, The Pill is effective immediately. If the Pill is started at other times, it will be effective after one month.
while she is on the pill she is getting hormones that cause her body to simulate pregnancy without the outward signs. it prevents her ovaries from maturing eggs. (ovulating)
when she stops taking it her body will resume its normal funcion and begin to menstruate. If there was an egg in the fallopian tube or uterus, it would get washed out during menstruation.
she would then begin her regimen of taking the pill again. and preventing Ovulation.
Theoritically, it should be safe to engage in sex without getting pregnant but why would you want to take the chance?
Use protection whenever you are unsure.

well if she has been on the pill before is obvious that she is protected no matter if she had taken her pill some minutes ago. Also depends of how fertile she is but, if she has been on the pill you don't have nothing to worry about. I used to have sex with my ex wife with out protection 10 days after period and 10 days before, to do this you or she has to be sure exactly of her period days, I did not want my ex wife had those secondary effects pills produce, and it has to do with the matter that how much you love the person, otherwise just do it and enjoy it.

If she has already been on the pill and it is her new pack because the old one is over then you do not haev to wait. but if it is a new pack because she missed pills then you might want to read the direction taht come with the pills and it tells you how long you should wait. it is usualy a few days.

Use protection either way...it's safer for the both of you. However, If she's been on the pill and missed a day i would wait a week or so...

you mean those pill that you take for3 weeks and take 1 week of don`t you dont worry your protected all the time apart from if she is ill with something gastric (throwing up etc)cause sometimes that way it might not get digested and you need extra contraception for about a month to be on the safe side

if you have a "strong" sperm. she can be pregnant or if she knows her period 10 days before and after is the safest way if she is not taking pills (use the calendar way).
