The best way to reduce weight after pregnancy is to manage your eating habits appropriately. If you are breast feeding you need an extra few hundred calories a day which equates to an extra banana, a glass of milk, and a piece of toast. Not a lot of extra food. Now you have to decide how much you need regardless of breast feeding. Most new Moms, like most people in general, eat too much. It is important to look at what you take into your body throughout the entire day. On average you need to consume around 1200 -1500 calories per day. Add a few hundred more for breast feeding and that takes you up to 1500 -1800 per day. Your body will naturally lose weight after the baby is born if you maintain a normal diet without over eating. Keep your calorie consumption within the normal range and you will lose weight without doing anything extra.
However, if you want to help the weight loss along, eat foods high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals such as vegetables, fruit, beans, and whole grains. Make water your drink of choice, and minimize snacks. Next, find a type of physical activity that you enjoy doing and do it on a regular basis. Walking, biking, swimming, dancing, aerobics, yoga are all examples of great activities to do after a pregnancy.
Be patient, do the right things and the weight will come off. Good luck.

If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate, and plan your diet carefully. Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

put that baby in a stroller and take a lot of brisk walks. Also, breastfeed, which consumes a ton of calories. Choose healthy foods in reasonable quantities.
Also, remember: it took you nine months to put the weight on, so give yourself nine months to get your old (almost!) shape back!
