Why not have perogies? You can buy the frozen ones at your local supermarket! IGA in Canada has the Cheemos on for $1.98 pkg.
you can boil them or fry them.
If you wish you can make them your self!
Recipe 3 cups flour, 2 tablespoons cooking oil.
2 tablespoons salt, 3 & 1/4 tsps baking powder. Add enough water to 2 & 3/4 cups flour in bowl mixing all ingredients in bowl
should form balls. Take some dough out and roll out on lightly floured surface. sprinkle flour on rolled out dough and then flip over roll out again to about the thickness of thin construction paper. Cut with cutter or top rim of a glass put a dab of filling in each a little to left of centre
of circle and then fold over and pinch seal with fingers. When you have enough sealed drop them in boiling water or cooking oil brought to almost boiling. turn down element and wait a few moments. then turn element off and cover. wait a few moments.. drink a cup of coffee or tea and by time your finished that the perogies should be ready. Toss in clean serving bowl add butter or margarine and shake. If you like sour cream you can use it.
hint: baby sppon is ideal for getting the right amount of filling in the perogies when making them! Note the homemade ones are much better than the frozen ones! Variation put pizza type stuff instead of regular perogie fill and then you have the truly original pizza pops!

Make Calabaza con Pollo:
Braise a chicken and remove meat from the bone. Reserve the drippings. Refrigerate the drippings and remove the fat.
Use the drippings with fat removed to saute a pan-patty squash or a summer squash and an onion. (Slice both thin.) Add crushed garlic, chicken, a can of diced green chilis, and a large can of tomatoes. Heat through. Serve over rice.

How about rack of lamb?
2 trimmed 6-rib lamb rib roasts, about 11/2 lbs each.
1/4 cup coarse- grain Dijon mustard.
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs.
2 tbs, dried thyme.
Spread mustard generously over all sides of lamb roasts.Combine bread crumbs, & thyme, pat mixture over mustard.
Place roasts fatside down on grill over medium coals, cover grill; & grill 10 minutes, turn over & grill uncovered, an additional 20 min, or until thermometer reads 150 degrees, Remove roasts & let sit 10 minutes before carving.
You can also do baked potatoes on the grill, peirce the potatoes , put a dab of butter on top, wrap in heavy duty foil * cook til tender, turning once in a while. Enjoy !!

I would go with Chinese. If you feel like cooking, chicken breast with some mashed potatoes sounds good to me.
I see you are a guy and I don;t know how handy you are in the kitchen, but I've given you a nice and easy suggestion. Maybe you can change the mashed potatoes for the Mc Cain Smash Bites potatoes, just pop them in the oven for 20 or 25 minutes, they are yummy!.

A box of Kraft Mac & Cheese.
That's what I'm having for dinner tonight when I go to my second job - Easy Mac. Yum. (I'm kidding of course. Maybe I'll hit the Chinese place on the corner before I go to work. Tofu and white rice sound better than Easy Mac.)

Duck with Port and Cranberry-Cherry Sauce:
This rich sauce pairs well with duck breast, chicken, or pork.
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, divided
3 tablespoons chopped shallots
1/2 cup port
1/4 cup red currant jelly
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries
3 tablespoons dried tart cherries
3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, divided
2 teaspoons olive oil
4 (6-ounce) boneless duck breast halves, skinned
Melt 1 1/2 teaspoons butter over medium-high heat in a medium saucepan. Add shallots; sauté 1 minute. Add port, jelly, vinegar, and sugar; cook 2 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Stir in cranberries and cherries; cook 2 minutes or until slightly thick. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining 1 tablespoon butter, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
While sauce cooks, heat oil in a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle duck with remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and remaining 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Add duck to pan; cook 4 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Serve with sauce.
Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 duck breast half and about 3 tablespoons sauce)

I think you should have pumpkin soup to start with, then a nice big juicy steak with lots of blood oozing out of it, with roast potatoes and veg then for dessert some sticky toffee pudding. You need to treat yourself now and again, even if it's just for you. If you still have room afterwards then some nice cheese could be in order too. Enjoy!
