I don't hate christians. I believe as you do although I do not go to church like I should. Some people I believe are jealous more than hating a religion. Good values are really hard to live by, and most people don't want to be good sometimes. Even you are not perfect, nor am I. We just try to live by good values. I am not against abortion, for medical reasons, and you do not understand that, I am sure. But I try to respect everyones views, even Jews.....they do not believe in Jesus, but I don't put them down for it.

Those of us who spurn contact with Christians do it primarily because of their "holier than thou" attitudes. We resent the attitude that we are simple fools in need of their saintly wisdom and their condescending, patronizing proselytizing. We are aghast at the suggestion that without their Scriptures to govern us that we are incapable of living peaceful, productive lives in a caring and neighborly manner. And I in particular am incensed at the implication that I personally have no "firm values" and that I have no respect for the institution of marriage. How dare you! In answer to your question about hating someone who loves babies - Adolf Hitler loved babies! Idi Amin loved babies! Even the world's most prolific mass murderer, Joseph Stalin, loved babies! According to their families, the murderous fools who flew airplanes into skyscrapers on 9/11 loved babies. You might ought to try and think up a better insult than that, bubba!

I don't think people hate Christians so much as they hate what Christianity has done to the minds of its victims... holding them in thrall to the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of a tribe of ignorant Bronze Age fishermen and peripatetic goat herders.

With regard to the rest of your question... why don't you chew on this for a little while. Christians make up about 75% of the US population and 75% of the US prison population. No big surprise there.

Atheists, on the other hand, make up about 10% of the US population... but they make up only 0.2% of the US prison population. Now, isn't THAT a surprise? That means that atheists are FIFTY (50) times LESS LIKELY to be incarcerated than Christians. Pretty strange, huh, for a group that has no god-given guiding moral principals?

I can think of only two possibilities that might reasonably be said to account for this discrepancy:

1. Atheists are of a higher ethical and moral caliber than Christians, and thus are less prone to do the same kinds of nasty things that land so many Christians in the slammer;

OR,

2. Atheists are, overall, a lot smarter than Christians and thus, they are less likely to get caught in the course of their transgressions.

It's GOT to be one or the other... take your pick.

I don't know of anyone who "hates" a Christian for "being" a Christian. The Islamic world is down on Christianity because of the Crusades, the continued involvement of Christian nations in the internal politics of Middle Eastern nations, America's invasion, America's propping up of the Shah of Iran before the revolution, British, Russian, and American involvement in Afghanistan (for the past 150 years or so...), etc. Basically, they want us to quit f*cking around with their sovereignty.

Domestically, many are down on Christians for abortion clinic bombings, creationism laws, and foreign and monetary policy based upon our leaders relationship to his invisible friend.

That is a broad brush you are painting with. I don't hate anyone but I do dislike a few people not all of them are christians. Maybe christians shouldn't tell good people they are going to hell because they don't believe what they do. Same thing can be said about a lot of organized religions. And if you truly had faith you would adopt all these babies and rely on your god to cloth and feed them all

in some countries people are "forced" to be christians (like in mine). As for the suicide bombers the reasons they are doing that are not religious but political

You probably try to force your definition of marriage on people, you probabaly don't respect gay marriage, you probably Love Zygotes more then you Love a fully grown animal that can feel and think more then a baby.

It is rather presumptuous of you to speak on behalf of all the Christians of the world.
