I know caffeine potentiates regular NSAIDS by 40%, does it potentiate narcotic analgesics too?

I don't see how it is pharmacologically possible for narcotic (or opioid) analgesics to act synergistically with caffeine. Opioids act on opioid receptors in the central nervous system, while caffeine does not affect those receptors in any way.

Supposedly it works with any pain killer. According to an osteopath I saw.
