Sister, If you truely want to get back to living for God, Just ask him to forgive you of all your past, through the blood of Jesus Christ. When Jesus hung there on the cross, he said IT IS FINISHED, Our plan for redemption was completed in Jesus Christ, Don't pay any attention to rumors, If rumors are not true, ignore them & if they are, God will forgive you, Too many church goers today are what the Bible says is busybodies, True Christians will not talk about another True Christian. As far as where your parents go, Sister, many times you have to break away from parents & love ones to serve God, I know, I have been there, My parents or friends is not my salvation, But God is. Go on for God.

If you're having these problems and don't feel that you can go to your pastor, then you need to change church. Now of course, this wont work if you're still dependent on your family, But your pastor is suppose to be able to give you the right answers and help restore you. Don't worry about the rumors, been there done that. Just look to Jesus for your forgiveness and turn from your sin.

Well I'll be blunt - every church gossips - so get used to it

And secondly I had a friend whose family was preety much destroyed because of the rumors that were being spread around by priests. God accepts you for who you are, going to church doesn't prove to him that your beliefs are strong. He knows what is going on - no one's connection to him is stronger when you are in a church. It's just the churchs way to control and gain money

If you and your pastor are not guilty of any infraction, then you have nothing to be ashamed of. Every Christian backslides---it comes with the territory. Your pastor needs to take the bull by the horns and stomp the rumors into the ground. People who float rumors around are gossipers and busybodies. The Bible condemns such behavior. It is the seventh deadly sin as listed in Proverbs 6:16-19. sowing discord among the brethren. God considers this to be an abomination. Your pastor is responsible for taking care of matters like this. It is not a pleasant task, but it is one that a shepherd must undertake from time to time. You should not be forced out of the church because a few people cannot control their mouths. No one has the right to make your life miserable and certainly no one has the right to interfere with your spiritual growth. Go to our Father in heaven in prayer and ask for forgiveness and guidance in this matter. Ask him to set you on the right path again and to defend you against these satanic attacks that are coming through the body of Christ. Our Father will clean things up for you, but you must bring this situation to the attention of your pastor. Jesus loves you. May God richly bless you in this struggle.

Make the rumors false. You choose what you are, not those spreading rumors. Then when someone says something about you, you can say, "That's not true." Eventually people will realize you've changed and you can move on with life. Look at the Apostle Paul. He had rumors about him at first also. Read all that happened to him in the book of Acts.

Of course, you know that any attempt to get right with God will be met full force by Satan and his forces, right? If the people at your parent's church are working on Satan's behalf, that is not a viable place to grow a relationship with God. Friendship is a poor excuse to go to Hell. If making things right within that church isn't an option, you MUST find another church, one that understands that church is a hospital for sinners.

Confront the church. Go up to the front and tell them to quit spreading rumors about you, because Christ would be ashamed that they would treat you this way. Tell them that yeah, you made some mistakes, but so have they. That we need to get back up after we have fallen and do our best to live rightly from now, not from the past. May God bless you in your search to get right with God. Please remember not to blame God for how the people at church are treating you.

It seems to me that if your options are:

- don't go to church even though you want to
- go to church and have people gossiping
- go to a different church and hurt someone's feelings

...that the third option is best. A fourth option would be to go to a different church and not tell anyone you're doing it.

Awaken from the slumber that has haunted the world for the past 2000 years. Open your mind to all thoughts and philosophies. Before you can have peace with the outside world, you must have peace and knowledge of your inner self.

May the gods bless you.
