Oh no... are you aging yourself?? LOL means "Laughing Out Loud." Isn't it funny how computers are supposed to make our lives easier, yet they crash before we save our project and we have to learn a whole new language to use them... :)

It means Laugh Out Loud. If I was writing to you, I would use LOL to let you know that something is funny. I personally never use it because I don't like it. I would rather let the person know that they are funny or that they make me laugh.
