about it? Maybe which state they said... This was the episode with the rat-looking Mexican-American guy who was anti-illegal and the guatemalan woman debating. This sounds very illegal to me!

I saw that, and the guy really pi$$ed me off. Even though they are trying to change that law, I don't think that it would hold up in court because as other people have said, it is against your constitutional rights of free speach. Now, if that were to ever pass in that town, I as a white, anglo whatever you want to call me, non hispanic person would love to go to that town and do nothing but speak Spanish. Then let them try to arrest me. (I would like the money from thelawsuit, LOL) I wonder if they are just going to go after the hispanic people of that town who are speaking spanish (since they are doing this as a deterrent for illegal immigration supposedly) or EVERYONE who speaks Spanish.

Does everybody understand that if we were to actually deny access of all hispanics into the USA how "hypothetically speaking, would we eat"?At least 90% of hispanic's work
agriculture,meaning they're picking fruits,
vegetables,employed by most dairies,farmers
house cleaners or maids.Look hard when you go into most restaurants,in the kitchen you will probably see hispanic cooks and diswashers. Now why do you think that is,because they are consistant in working,if not employers would not be hiring and keeping them. All I seem to here"they'r" taking jobs away from us.If we wanted those type of jobs then "we should be applying for them not complaining".Honestly have you ever seen anyone OTHER than hispanic's working the fields.Quit complaining and get the job the way "they did, apply" for it.
Remember, this is the "land of the free" not a select "few".

If only that was true it isn't just another anti-anything USA BS statement by you
This being the USA English should be the official national language
Don't care what a person speaks in public. I do think no other language , but English should be used to do business in the USA
I do not like illegal alien invaders that only want to Rape the USA and turn it into the shi*holes the illegal alien invader rejects come from so they can feel at home
Illegal is not a RACE so put your RACE card up your @$$
Illegal is illegal is that too hard for a Anti-America person like yourself to understand?

I would also like to know what state that is. Its a good way to force people to speak English. I would hope there was some kind of limit on it though. They should be able to speak Spanish at home. It does sound illegal though.

Is news to me, but lets remember that the first European language spoken in the new world'las Americas' was Spanish! I speak Spanish and English ,both well, and when with Hispanics my language is Spanish, so I may get arrested if is true what you heard, I dont care , comes what comes my faith leads me. On what grounds are they forbidden Espanol? If that is case lets name some states with Spanish names , Florida, California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas,Colorado, Montana, and Iam not sure of Kansas. OLE!

If it is true I would take them to court and sue them for all they have. I am a natural born American citizen and my right to speech is guaranteed. It is not guaranteed only if I speak English. The founders of The United States of America our forefathers in their great wisdom did not give us an official language they knew that the USA is the melting pot of the world and many languages are were and will be spoken here.

I don't see how that is possible. It sounds like they are trying to take our rights. There is no law that says we can't speak Spanish. And it does sound illegal to me also.
