Think outside the box. With your PhD and 25 publications, asking for a paid job is like asking to be trampled upon and disillusioned on a daily basis. Whether you work in the US or elsewhere, your PhD should enable you to think of solutions that fit not just within your narrow specialization, but also in your own life. You cannot just ask for an executive job when you have absolutely no credentials for it (I am basing this on your narrow resume in the question). Your specialization would suit you for an academic position. If your passion is for discovering solutions to environmental problems, then open your own company. Provide services and solutions for the myraid Indian pollution problems. Become a contractor for the government. Provide services to public and private industries on handling pollution. Knowledge expressed in narrowly read specialized journals is an utter waste of civilizational effort if you cannot put it to practise to benefit humanity.
