Yesterday my 13 month old started vomiting. (he was home with his daddy I was at work but went straight home when i heard he was sick) When I got there. He was vomiting green foam and gagging and very pail. He had no fever and had a normal bowl movement. I knew this wasn't a stomach virus. My baby is also asthmatic. So i packed him up to go the the doctor. He turned blue and stopped breathing on the way there so I just went to the ER. He came to vomitted again and then he was fine. So I felt like he must have swallowed something and it was caught in his throat. The x-ray showed nothing. His lungs were clear. And he was wetting daipers. We went home and today he's fine. Does everybody else think he just swallowed something?

All cleaning cheamicals are in a cabinet above the washer...so not that. The bathroom door stays shut so he didn't get into my hair products or soap. I am however missing a button cover off my couch...maybe thats it?

I think that you are thinking he swallowed an object but to me it sounds like he swallowed some kind of chemical or something that is not suppose to be ingested. I'm glad he is okay! That must have been awful for you. Give praise to God for letting him be okay!

I had an experience similar to this when I was a little younger. I was raising my cousin's baby at the time and she was about a year or so old. I left the room to put laundry in the dryer and she got into the cleaning things under the sink. She swallowed some of the solutions and was vomiting. She never ended up having to go to the ER, because I called Poison Control and she was fine. I do believe maybe this happened in your instance. Or, perhaps he had something lodged in his throat and ended up puking it up. Any chance he got into something poisonous?

Sounds to me like he got into something and swallowed it. Maybe cleaning chemicals or something....I dunno. Keep a VERY CLOSE eye on him because kids are very hard to diagnose sometimes. It could've been a small virus or stomach virus. Maybe he ate something that didn't quite agree with him. Was the green stuff bile? Kids can pick up so much stuff nowadays. If he's feeling alright, I'm glad to hear, but just keep an eye out.

Sounds like a straight up stomach virus to me. You can have violent vomiting and have completely normal BM's with some of these viruses going around, and they are alot going around right now. My kids' school is sending home note after note about all the viruses going around, and how important it is to wash their hands properly, blah, blah, blah. Also, the green 'foam' sounded like bile to me, which could have been the result of vomiting on a very empty stomach, which also points to it being a virus.

I have heard your child should NEVER vomit green because this means he has an intestinal block or something serious. Please have him followed up with, maybe it was just something off the wall but better safe then sorry. Could have been bial too, like when theres nothing in your stomach and you throw up yor stomack acid and foam....? I dont know but good luck!

I know that this is a horrible comparison, but my cat sometimes pukes up foamy green stuff if she has eaten plants. Check to see if he has eaten any indoor plants as these can be very dangerous to children. Also, make sure you have all of you cabinets baby proofed. Be sure to check with your doctor if it happens again.

He didn't swallow anything--he's throwing up stomach acid. Take him to the doctor because if he keeps throwing up stomach acid it's going to irritate his throat and cause it to rupture. Not to scare you or anything, but seriously that's what it sounds like.
