I feel great about it! I really don't mind interracial dating. I think its beautiful when people can express their feelings and not bow to the status que placed on us by society. People forget the culture of america and so it seems, there isn't what they would describe a "problem" with this situation, They choose not to address it, well the "problem" is people being color blind, to the specifics of the word, BLIND TO THE COLORS AROUND YOU. They are unwilling to accept them and hence they are not there or you are blind to them. I don't believe in color blindness, its ignorance, it needs to change, be aware of the wonderous variety around you and accept it. I Think its extremly interesting to learn about other people's ways of life. I think its really sad that people of any race can simply 'dis' others becuase they are of any color.

For the most part these days, it is only an issue if you want it to be. Yes there are still a few that think ill of the idea, but they are racists, and/or old people set in their ways. If you like someone, skin colour should not play a factor, it is you who likes this person, and it is you that will be spending time with them. Besides, there is always going to be someone who disagrees with your choice... Too skinny, fat, short, tall, s/he has glasses, not the same nationality... It is a personal preference, and all others opinions are irrelevant.

I think it depends very much on what type of interracial relationship and where you live.
I am a mixed race (black/white) and my husband is asian, his family have found it very difficult to accept our relationship.
His mother refused to accept me or our children, right up to her death and never met her grandchildren. My children and I are excluded from all family events all because I am the 'wrong' race and the 'wrong' religion.
All races have a minority who think this is still an issue and I'm sure the next generation will have the same minority.

Depends on where you live. I live in Trinidad in the Caribbean and interracial relationships are no longer a real issue. Go to an restaurant, for example and you will see people of European descent with people of African or Indian descent.

Yes, among some people. Did you hear the story about the middle aged Maine couple who kidnapped their 19 year old daughter, binding her with ropes and duct tape. They tried to drive her to NY and force her to get an abortion because she was carrying the baby of her black boyfriend! She escaped in a mall and when the police came, her parents were still hunting her in their Lexus.

I'd say in the UK its not been an issue for years.
Thankfully it seems with every passing generation we seem to be getting more tolerant as a species.

Generally it isn't. For example people in high places don't care because they are generally more educated and less bigotted than those in the general population and when they look to be around people like themselves they are generally refering to people of similar socio-economic status, lifestyles or world view.
Even among the everyday working man he/she is finding him/herself in a word that is changing and has come to the realisation that racial similarities are often not enough to get them invited to the table amongst those who outrank them, socially, financially or otherwise. Hence in his now more diverse environments the everyday man is beginning to get used to men and women of different races as he/she is among such people more and more.
Finally, I'd say that where race matter in relationships has less to do with race for some as it has to do with culture as some members of certain ethnic groups believe that they or their children have a duty to stay within their own group so as to keep their heritage alive. People such as Orthodox Jews, observant Hindus, and Muslims often are not opposed to interracial marriage as a general rule until it comes to themselves where their opposition to it stems from a desire to preserve their heritage and promote its continuity, and not racial hatred.

In the US...I don't think so...however you are always going to have a small group of people who don't like it...and I think that is with any situation....There are always going to be people who don't like something....Most people are accepting of it though...I am and most people here are....give it a hundred generations or maybe more and we are all going to be the same race anyway....
