Wrote a paper on the subject of ladybugs for science class one year in high school. The are very interesting little creatures. Some are poisonous and some are not...guess it would depend on where you lived. The yellow color they leave on your skin is urine.

Ladybugs don't secrete anything. You must have them mistaken for cicadas. THOSE will secrete urine on you.

it's urine. BUT they're also poisonous. birds and other predators don't eat them because of their poison. and if you get them in your house in the fall and have a torchere (those tall skinny halogen lamps with a bowl-like shade at the top) they'll fly into thm, burn, and release toxic smoke. it's not dangerous, but it makes me feel nauseous as hell!

ladybugs arent poisonous, but they pee on you alot, and sometimes they bite. It stings! but its still cute
