I have a friend who slit his wrist and overdosed on pills. is there anyway he could join the Marines?

No. He cannot join any branch of the US Military.
I wish people like Soul and Athene would grow up. Less than 2% of US Troops over seas get hurt or killed.

he could attempt to join, but more than likely after deep psychological profiling he would not be allowed to join if the fact that he tried to commit suicide came out.
