The belt by itself does not help in weight loss. It is a marketing gimmick. If you put on the belt and exercise vigorously, you may perspire more. Any exercise you do with or without the belt is the key.

look here there a thousand of thing which will tell you that they will make you slim but the real fact is that would do that and only make slim only of a short time if you relay want to relay loss weight do as i say
1get up early in the morning drink 2 glass of water
2 go for a walk for 15 mint
3 have fruity in the morning
4drink water when ever you fell hungry
5do you re exercises
6 have a light Donner
and if you do that you will lose around 5 kg in a week

If you're making the statement then medical science will agree with you , but warn that it is not effective for maintaining weight loss.

If you are asking the question then medical science would answer that it is useful for taking weight off quickly, but won't do a thing as far as keeping the weight off. The only way to keep weight off is to make changes in your diet (take in less energy) and your exercise (use more energy) so that slowly, day by day, you start to use more energy than you take in.
