The vitamin C content of many fruit is higher when it is slightly immature, and declines as the fruit hits peak ripeness. For a few, such as the jujube fruit, the vitamin C content does the opposite, it rises with increased ripeness. Vitamin C content also decreases with storage. For example, the kiwifruit is an exceptionally rich source of vitamin C - a medium sized fruit has 74 mg, but a kiwifruit that has been coolstored for a while has a vitamin C content of 57 mgs. Still excellent, but less excellent!
In terms of consumer acceptability and likely frequency of eating, the yellow fleshed kiwifruit can be considered the best source of vitamin C in commercially available fruit.

Yes, he is generally. There are some other exotic fruits (read impossible to get) that are higher on a same size serving basis.
Of the commonly available fruits, Kiwi is the highest.
Have a look at this website with the various fruits and how they score for each vitamin.

Depends on the age of the fruit.
Once picked, all fruit will lose its vitamin C content rapidly.
It is very likely that you can buy supermarket fruit which has no vitamin C at all.
Buy local fruit that is in season to make sure you get good nutritional value.

the last i heard is that the grandilla contains the most vitamin C.
It looks good on the outside a nice orange colour, you cut it in half and scoop out the center, put your spoon in and try and get some out to eat it slips off the spoon like raw egg white and has crunchy black seeds in it. The taste is nice the texture disgusting!
I would have to be blindfolded and not told what it is as looking at it made me heave
Why dont you try it??
