I have a friend who was from Malaysia, he said that it was against his religion to adopt. I wasnt really given a reason other than it was against his religion, but I thought it was quite sad.

I have never heard of this before. So sad to have a religion that denies love to orphans.

Because they still believe the old housewives' tale of "bad blood" that the adopted child may've inherited from one or both parents and they fear raising a possible criminial or murderer... so stupid; that's why birth certificates today do NOT even hint that someone may have been born out of wedlock in moden, advanced countries.

if you believe part of your 'godly' commands is to be fruitful and multiply, and your offspring will also by birth become "chosen ones" (to struggle in life) than adoption is like taking in "heathens" and then going against your own faith and promoting 'ungodly' people or helping others to 'win'
the idea we are different is so devisive, we are the same, we have different cultures and views but we are the same
we have more in common and less in difference but we choose to focus on uncommon things rather than the air we breathe and water we need to live, or ground from which we must eat to live and protect from poisoning

I don't know why some cultures are against adoption, but that needs to stop. Adoption is wonderful.

Are you serious?!?!?! That's absurd! I can't think of a BETTER way to give back to the World. Personally, I want to have two children and adopt one.
I can't think of any justified reason why you shouldn't be allowed to adopt a child.
