It won't give you sleeping paralysis, but it will make you groggy and headachy.
If you're sleeping because you are bored, you need to find something you enjoy doing.
If the sleeping-bored thing is in fact an early sign of depression- and I have heard from reliable sources it can be- then you need to take care of that.
Good luck!

the sleep paralysis doesn't come from sleeping too much.. though that can cause many other side effects.. sleep paralysis can happen as a normal part of growing, or it can be due to deeper psychological issues that you might be trying to deal with.. when i was young i had a family member die.. at that age i didn't know how to deal with it properly and i formed sleep paralysis, almost nightly, for the next 2 years. as for being bored with this world.. make a change then, or stop and look around you to figure out what's truly there.. people bored with the world usually have either not taken the time to figure out what is going on around them or they have become stagnant in this part of their lives and need to make a change.. so figure it out and do what you need to do.. don't stay stagnant.. if you do, it'll just get worse.

Some people can manage on six hours sleep a night. Seven to eight hours is the standard and what the majority of people need. Getting less than six hours of sleep can be detrimental to a person's health and can effect your performance at work. One can only sleep as long as he/she is tired.
However, if we look at another opinion by by FIONA MacRAE, of The Daily Mail, on 11th July 2006, she reports :
Sleeping too long could be bad for your health, new research shows. A team of scientists have found that people who sleep at least nine hours a night are almost twice as likely to develop Parkinson's disease as those who get by on six hours or less....
So , do you still want to sleep long? You need to get some interests and socialize more. Take the small step to a more interesting life.

There is more to this then you are telling us! Sleeping long periods of time - 12-15 hours -is NOT healthy, the average is 6-8hrs. So,because of my background I am strongly suggesting that you seek professional assistance. Even if you are bored (with this world), escaping by over sleeping is unhealthy. In time you will develop medical problems, i.e. - poor circulation, which leads to heart problems, your muscles will loose their elasticity and you'll become flabby, and you will age faster then normal, due to lack of exercise, sunshine, etc. But most of all, you'll have no friends, because when their out doing good things, having fun, you'll be sleeping your life away, literally.

No. Sleeping too much does not lead to sleeping paralysis.
However, sleeping and "boredom with the world" are two of several symptoms used to diagnose depression. I would suggest checking out the following web page and talking to your doctor.

sleep paralysis can be caused by many things, such as stress. Lack of sleep would be more common than too much sleep though.

No that paralysis comes up if you awaken in a certain stage of sleep. It does not happen if you sleep excessively.
