Legal international agreements mean that you can take 200 cigarettes duty free. You can take more but you will have to declare them and pay Canadian duty on the cigarettes (regardless of whether you paid duty on them in Scotland or not).

I wouldn't bother. Cigarettes are probably cheaper here. less that $80/ carton in BC (200 cigarettes.) some of the UK brands are availble here.

go to canadian customs and revenue agency www.ccra.gc.ca and click on items you can bring in. I'm thinking it's a carton but check for sure.
