It reduces the body's demand for food later in the day. Eat breakfast and you will eat less food later. If you are dieting, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Breakfast is what fuels the first part of your day. From everything I've ever heard, read or been told (by my doc, for example), you should NEVER skip it! It's real easy to get into the (bad) habit of not eating in the morning, having coffee and a pastry at 10, a sandwich (or fast food) for lunch and a relatively big evening meal (which is completely butt-backwards!). Unless you have a super-high metabolism or an extremely active lifestyle, this way of eating is guaranteed to put on weight!
There's a saying, "You should eat like a queen in the morning, a princess in the afternoon and a pauper at night."
If your sisters don't have much of an appetite in the morning (I don't either!), then try having 250 grams (about a cup and a quarter) of low fat plain yoghurt (I prefer soy to milk yoghurt) with two slices of unsweetened pineapple OR a whole apple cut up in it. Or add a cup of muesli to the fruit/ yoghurt mix. It doesn't sound like a lot but it's amazing how filling it is and how far you can go on it until you start to feel hungry. A couple of ounces of hard cheese (like emmenthal/ Swiss? or cheddar) with an apple is also good. In the winter I have a bowl of oatmeal with raisins and sweetened with a bit of real maple syrup (NOT the artificially flavored kind!).
Fruit is always a great way to start the day. It's high in fiber, full of natural sugar which gives you good energy and (most fruit is) 90 percent water (except something like bananas), so it doesn't sit heavy in your stomach like pancakes, eggs and bacon and sausage would. Combine it with some sort of protein and you're set 'til lunch (a nutritionist put me on to this).
Good luck!

There was a commercial on tv not long ago about the benefits of a healthy breakfast. It gets your day going and helps you concentrate during the morning (especially if you are in school), just think, go to bed and you have not eaten since dinner or night snack and you don not
eat again until late lunch or dinner? Stomach is telling you
"I AM HUNGRY!" You need energy to keep going and a good healthy meal is the key!

A person who doesn't eat breakfast in the morning is going to be tired and draggy because they simply don't have any energy. That's no fun! Also, it will help keep them from binging at other meals so they don't end up eating more calories than they would have if they HAD eaten breakfast.

Now, there are some kinds of foods I don't care for first thing in the morning, especially greasy stuff. But whole grains and protiens are good.

It has been proven that ppl who skip breakfast will consume MORE calories the balance of the day than those who do eat breakfast. Also, if you skip breakfast for one whole year, the average weight GAIN is 10 lbs.
Always best to eat like a king for breakfast, a prince for lunch and a pauper for dinner was the way i heard it once.

Without breakfast, there would be no clear purpose for eggs. Or for that matter, yolk.

Just imagine the oversupply of eggs. They would be everywhere. We would have to shower with eggs, swim in egg pools, and throw eggs at every car, person and insect on the planet.

So instead of stinking up the planet, they decided to make 'breakfast'.

But if you're trying to convince a kid....Just tell 'em the Power Rangers eat it.

breakfast jump starts your metabolism in the morning, which is very important. it also makes you less hungry when your waiting for lunch time to come around. i never used to eat breakfast but recently i started making myself get up in time to eat it and i have much more enegry throughout the day than i used to, which is another benefit.

To me that's crazy that basically common sense.Ask a more sufficient question. Tell don't eat and see how they feel. I bet when they eat the indulge in food cause they skipped a meal.
