I was going through a rough patch in my relationship with my husband. (At that time we were not married yet). I was alone in my room and I began crying out to the Lord for His help and comfort. As I cried out the Holy Spirit came in. I felt His presence. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I felt peace, warmth, comfort and joy. It was like He was holding me in His arms. I began thanking and praising Him and then something TOTALLY UNEXPECTED HAPPEN. I began speaking in tongues. I wasn't asking for it. It just happened.
Ever since that day, I have never turned back. I know it's real. no one or nothing can ever change my mind. He has been with me ever since. He convicts me when I am wrong, gives me peace, joy and comfort. He teaches me in the scripture and leads my path.
It's been about 7 years since that happened. I am now 29 and recently God took me a step further and showed me I had to surrender and lay down my life and let Him have His will. I had to be totally honest with myself and let go of everthing. He has been doing some miraculous things since then..I am truly a new creature in Christ. It is awesome.
I thank God for the gifts of the Spirit.
Love in Jesus' name

I believed in Jesus Christ, asked Him to forgive me for sinning against Him, asked Him to come into my life, was baptized by water, repented of my sins, and put my faith and trust entirely in Him. I didn't feel the Holy Spirit until a few years later. I guess that is what they call being baptized by the Holy Spirit. I don't think it happens at the same time for all believers.. I think some may receive it at their water baptism and others may receive it many years later. It happened for me later. It just depends on when God thinks it's the right time for you. I do know it is life changing, like no other. Becoming a Christian in the first place was an unexplainable transformation in and of itself, but when the Holy Spirit comes into your life...now that is completely eye opening. You know when it happens and you feel it. I guess that is called being "born again." And that is exactly what it is..you see everything in a new light, you become dead to yourself and the ways of the world. You pick up your "cross" and follow Him, not just talk about it.... What were once words now become actions. Everything you do is for the glory of God....Everything. The Holy Spirit constantly reminds you of what is important and reveals truth to you.

I prayed to be filled one night at bible study. It was the most amazing thing! A few minutes after I prayed, God revealed it to the pastor. He stopped in mid conversation to say that God had just reveal to him that I wanted to be filled with the Holy Spirit. He sent some of the other preachers over to pray with me and told me to open my mouth, to forget my everyday language, and let the spirit flow. I did and I was speaking in tongues and it was amazing. I was shocked! I love it!

for me I went to a church service, just like in the bible, book of Acts chptr 2, the H.S rush in, i hear a wind sound, i became hot, like burning, people around me starting speaking funny language & i start to open my mouth, imitating them, just to test it,
however, suddenly i like lost control of my vocal cord & tongue, just took off uttering a language that make no sense initially. later it felt like someone (H.S) whisper in my ear translation in english after i have spoken what sounds like a long sentence in this funny language.
speaking in tongue doesn't have translation all times, its stated in the bible we use this foreign language as a meditative & prayerful aid.
since i being filled with H.S, i can hear Him much clearly, understand truths better & glasps the spirtual realm better.

you can not be born again its not possible never was anyways.
but the simple fact is we all already have a soul so the holy ghost is a lie to the masses but dont believe me on this but when a christian dies there soul is destroyed most of the time anyways.
