I heard that he might fight again at Middleweight. If Shane Mosley, who really isn't even a true jr.middleweight, can ko him, how can he take a true middleweight punch? I love Vargas and he has given us many thrills in boxing, but i think he looks shot and should retire. What do you think?

SINCE FERNANDO INJURED HIS BACK, HE HAS NEVER BEEN THE SAME. HE SHOULD RETIRE AND INVEST HIS MONEY IN A WISE WAY

Pancho ~
It's not for us (Fans of the sport) to say. In my opinion, Fernando should have retired after he lost to De La Hoya, but that's just my opinion. I don't pay his bills and he doesn't pay mine, but every time a fight fan buys a Pay Per View event where he's on the card in essence they're paying his bills.
It's exactly the same thing as if Tyson were to fight again, there would plenty of people willing to shovel out $50 to watch the chance of him ripping someones head off their shoulders, not to say Fernando is even in the same market as Mike but people did shell out $50 to watch his match with Mosley. As long as there will be people willing to do that, Fernando's Fiancee' will have him fighting and the roar of the crowd will give Fernando all the inspiration he needs.
Thanks for the question Pancho!

Yes, yes, yes!!! In fact, why didn't they just ban him for life after testing positive for steroids? Even juiced, he can't compete against the elite. They'll just put bums in front of him to build his rep up, but once he enters the ring against the likes of De La Hoya, Trinidad, or Mosely, he's done. HANG IT UP VARGAS!!!

in my opinion, i don't think so ... vargas is a brave fighter with a great heart ... he still have a lot to offer for his fans ... just go back to the drawing boards and take it one fight at a time ... his time will come!

Yes he should retire. He's had some thrilling fights, but he's taken some beatdowns too.

I DON'T THINK HE SHOULD RETIRE YET. I'VE ALWAYS LIKED HIS BOXING MATCHES. THIS IS WISHFUL THINKING BUT THESE ARE SOME MATCHES I WOULD LIKE TO SEE, NO PARTICULAR ORDER.
VARGAS-DE LA HOYA REMATCH
VARGAS-GATTI
VARGAS-BALDOMIR
VARGAS-HATTON
.....JUST TO NAME A FEW, MAYBE UNREALISTIC BUT OH WELL.
