Water will help give you a "full" feeling and help reduce your apatite. However, water weighs over 7 pounds per gallon, and if your body is not getting rid of it, you can easily see why you would weigh more. My advice would be see your doctor.

Water weight Honey! You ought to look into with your doc about "water pill" they are over the counter, but don't start anything like that with out their input! Are you peeing dark yellow? (pee should be near to clear) that means you were dehydrated- not enough water in your system- you body might be storing it because you don't have enough to go around. water is very heavy on the stomach anyways, so it feels that way to your stomach- water is a great thing- you should drink lots and lots of it- seriously, cuz your body needs to flush out alot of crap,a ll the time- your kidneys run through 1600 liters of stuff every day in the circulatory system- you are made up of over 2/3s water- your body cycles at really high levels like that thing about the kidneys, so drink lots of water! Did I say to drink lots of water??? ( don't rely on drinking soft drinks to get your water for you- your liver and pancreas and stuff do a lot of work to fliter all of the bad crap out before getting to the water part- they like actually have to break it down back TO water- I've got a whole nuther soap box about unwholesome foods!)

In addition to what everyone else says, watch your sodium intake. That could be causing you to hold water. Don't drink more than you need. 6-8 glasses a day is recommended if you are not exercising. If you are exercising, you need more.

Maybe you aren't expelling as much as your taking in. If you are drinking lots of water then you should be going to the bathroom more and it should be pulling fat out with it. You may need help getting rid of the excess water in your body with the aid of a diuretic, but you need to make an appointment with you Dr. and talk to him about it. Just to make sure all your organs are functioning properly.

Water will not help you lose weight, other than to the extent you replace high-calorie drinks with zero calorie water. It does not "flush out" fat or mysterious, unnamed "toxins". And you DO NOT NEED "8 glasses a day" !!!
THAT'S A MYTH!!
