God, this country is going to have a muslim phobia. Guys we are not evil! we are generous people who love our families and children and want to live in peace. God help us in this hard times.
we don't have control over your media, that's why you will only see negative things about us. focus the media on the negative of muslims.

I'm glad to see that you have come to this understanding. Is it partly from the quotes I posted to that other question of yours?
This is a difficult question, because there are undoubtedly Muslims who would like to see us dead. Lots of them. But then, there are certainly Christians and racists and far-right wackos who would like to see me dead as well. How do you usually tell with people?
See, you need to look at them on a case-by-case basis. The beautiful Palestinian woman I talked with on Sunday certainly didn't want to see me dead: neither did her friend, who was staffing a booth for a group opposed to discrimination against Arabs. I don't know that either one of them is Muslim, but I strongly suspect that both are.
Our local Islamic Center had an open house this spring: they didn't kill any of the people who attended, and I can't imagine that anyone who went was too concerned about it.
When I walk through the market in Marseille I must be obviously American, and at least some of those North African folks there must be Muslim - they don't threaten me or even scare me.
Later: There may be no Christians who would wish you dead, but there are ones who would wish me dead, and tens of thousands of them who want to destroy my country. They commit less violence, but let's not forget that's largely because they have the power to enforce their will without the violence. If the U.S. armed the Palestinians against Israel, you can be sure that the Palestinians would use those arms instead of terrorism.

The truth is that the muslim faith is one that has been spread by violence. The only reason it is so wide spread is because of wars and the systematic murdering of anyone who didn't believe in Allah. So certainly there are peaceful muslims, especially when taken out of the middle east, but the history and tradition of violence is embedded in all muslims. For instance at weddings in the middle east it is customary to fire off rounds with an AK-47 into the air in celebration. This deep embedded obsession with violence was also reinfoced by the many invaders who tried to take their 'holy land' such as the English, the Soviets, the USA, the Christians, and others. The fact that they continue to have totalitarian dictatorships which often end in bloody coups followed by more dictatorships shows that this is a region led by a group of people who arn't afraid of a little bloodshed.

Just trust all Muslims to the same extent you would trust any stranger. Of course, once you get to know them you can make an informed choice as to whether or not they're violent, just like with anyone.

the one's that are hostile will not try to kill you, unless you are a VIP or something. They would go for major things (like the WTC) So try to treat everyone with respect, then maybe muslims wont think Americans are so mean.
