Suppose you have a child 4 to 8 years old. You have the opportunity to ensure that he/she has a very prosperous life filled with all the love and riches anyone can desire and never to be harmed in any way. The catch would be that you would never ever see your child again no ties what so ever. You would also not hear a word of their progresses. Could you let go forever knowing that they will have the perfect life??????

HEY FOLKS! This is just a question not reality. But if it were, I now know my answer--just a question that no matter who you are it should not be an easy question to answer. First of all, love is real and it could kill someone to let their child go......but on the other hand if you were truly in this situation you would indeed have a hard time making a decision because if you make it to soon it was made selfishly. Knowing you are going to DIE why would you not secure your childs life if you knew that all the LOVE and RICHES that he/she can imagine would be given to them.
Selfish people who answer this question question quickly just sit back and think it through.

absolutely. The selfless thing to do is to be sure your child is safe, secure, and has all the advantages. No problem

NEVER!! There is NO perfect life! Money isn't everything and it sure in the heck can't replace the love of a parent! A child knows who their parent is. Even if that parent wasn't around for the first few months of their lives, they still know the difference between real and surrogate. I've seen this happen. I would never give up my child at that age or any age. True, unconditional love is priceless!!

Absolutely NOT! Even though you only have 2 years left to live, that is 2 years to mold and shape the life of your child, and 2 years to let him/her know how much you love them. Raising a child is never easy but it is worth it, it is the most fullfilling thing I have ever done. Right now it is very important that you fill your life with positive things. Only you can make this choice and only you have to live with it. I will pray for you and for your child.

That is somethng to think about but personally I carried you for 9 months and brought you in this world I feel like I am the only one that can ensure you with all of that. Plus, I couldn't live with myself not being able to keep in contact with my child. A good parent would want to raise their child the best way they could rather than give them up.

Life would be worthless if it were perfect, the words mom and dad mean more to a child than all the silver and gold in this world. I could never ever let them go.

No. Fact is there is no such thing as a perfect life. Life has highs and lows. It just does. If you have a perfect life you are living in La-la land. If you loss connection with the kid, and they are no longer a part of your life, you can't expect yourself to not feel the pains of separation. And I feel that would be worst than death.

There is no such thing as a "perfect" life. Life is always imperfect, and that's part of the joy. The parent-child bond is priceless. I would never give that up.

this is actually the easiest question. You must not have children because to loose a child is to loose part of your life.Do you think the child would be happy with someone else.......So no--i would hope that money isnt all the child needs ----the love of a parent to a child is the greatest feeling in the world--seeing the first step--thier first baseball or dancing event---their first date-----thats priceless----

I would not let my child go under those circumstances. I would do my best to guide and provide and love the child even if it wasn't on such a high scale.
