In 5000 years we will be all like technological gods, or our "god" is a superduper artificial intelligence. Either way, there is no more need for supernatural god or heaven, 'cause we can do everything by ourselves and turn this universe to our paradise, thank you very much.

5000 years from now, the concept of God will no doubt change just as it has over the last 2000. New religions and sects will form, others will fade, and many more will add their insights and speculations into the pool of myth. The religions that are able to adapt to the new technologies and social changes will fade out, and the ones that do adapt will become stronger. And people 5000 years from now will look back at the things we believe today and wonder "how could they have ever thought that?"
Assuming, of course, that we haven't wiped ourselves out by then.
And don't worry about Armageddon...it's been "almost here" since the day some idiot dreamed it up. 5000 yers from now, I'm quite sure that people will still be saying the same thing.

They say the world as we know it will end around 2012. But the world as I knew it is already different than it used to be. Perhaps, the statement is more open then there will be flying people and mutants.. don't know I'll still be alive by then so i'll have to wait and see. The world has already ended in ice, and water. The world will end in fire this time or perhaps just wind. There is a book about some crystal skulls that were found adn these crystal skulls were dated as being ancient and the only way to have created them was by lasers. Hey, its something to think about really. I wonder if it is possible that we as a human society have already reached once what you are discussing might happen in the next 5,000 years. Atlantis is a civilization that was sunk.. some rumors are that their technology and knowledge far out shined the rest of the world. Then there are the theories of aliens and the crop circles and how we get our technology from them.

I would have to say that the evolution of "GOD" in human society will be be more effected by variables such as race blending and the progression of the "global village" than the attainment of super human abilities. As technology, particularly communication and travel, progress the world will be an increasingly smaller place. As more and more cultures and races are exposed to each other they will inevitably begin to blur into one combined group. We have already witnessed this begin in the form of the telecommunications, the internet and jet travel. The notion of god will be shared and transformed as each new global partner adds their take on the matter. In 5000 years i would hope that the singular, lightly caramel colored race will have enough scientific data to either dispel the idea of God altogether or support the "new" order of his/her existence. I only hope that along with the superhuman powers that we develop the ability to be truly peaceful and at least tolerate someone else's idea of God.

I believe everyone is on the path to God. We learn what we choose in each life. We don't totally remember past lives because the lessons would not be the same if we carried all our past wisdom to this life. After we have learned all the lessons available here, we go to another level. Eventually we become part of God. We will never be allowed that power until we have learned the responsibility. I sincerely hope we don't need 5000 more years for the race, in it's entirety, to become enlightened

i'm answering as a muslim. God under no circumstances destroyed the whole international with the help of a flood. It change into in worry-free words the area of Noah that change into inundated. there change into no telling what number of human beings died then, there change into no census. the tale went on that Noah tried to preparation guide them and maximum of them rejected him. there is also no judgment that one and all who died were all abject sinners. The decree of God to deliver a deluge befell the strong and the undesirable keep the folk of the Ark, it nonetheless does today, yet that isn't inevitably bereft of Divine Compassion, it change into yet a Divine Plan. demise isn't inevitably a punishment. Adam and Eve, a guy and a lady, pre-planned through God and destined to fill the earth is the in worry-free words clarification for the era of each and every of the inhabitants of the international. the theory of Evolution that we got here from apes or ape-like creatures who must have come from baser monkeys who must have come from something else, per chance a jellyfish or a plankton can under no circumstances ever be shown, a theory it is going to stay continuously. that's not a sin to no longer trust interior the fantastic, yet judging without the great thing about quite finding out the reality would nicely be. There are strong adult men and women everywhere, each and every of the time: Jews, Christians, Muslims and "pagans" alike. yet Judgment is for God on my own who knows what's interior the hearts of adult men and the situation of their lives. in assessment to different faiths that were made to point "producers" of human beings, the arabic time period "muslim" is surely attributive meaning "every person or something who believes interior the only authentic God and has submitted to Him" -- a tree for this reason, that grows in accordance to the dictates of God is muslim and so are the moon, the earth and the planets. a guy who has no longer been reached through any tips in any respect, who does no longer understand Allah, Muhammad or Jesus or Moses yet believes in a unmarried God Who has no call and does what's powerful for his fellowmen and surroundings, is muslim. The Holy Qur'an reads: "ANY who believes in God and the perfect Day (responsibility for his deeds) and is a doer of robust, he shall have his reward mutually with his Lord", - heaven is for him. God is The Merciful, The Compassionate, we received't merely call Him "the most" as there is none similar unto Him.

He'll be a 3-headed, fire-breathing turtle named Gus who sips beer from an onyx throne every day on the top of Mt. Vesuvius. Old mattresses, lamps, and 40-year-old virgins who still live with their parents or first college roommate will be sacrificed every Christmas.
Satan will be a fry cook who purees corrupt souls and spoiled kiwi fruit for the Almighty Smoothie.

I would like to hope we'd be free of such primitive delusions by then. Of course that may be a little presumptuous, perhaps our suspicions will prove correct and we will all be talking and laughing with our creator(s) by that time.
