I invited her to my work formal; and she wanted us to practise our dancing before the formal. We get on well: she makes me laugh, I make her laugh. But she's white and I'm black.

Colour difference obviously isn't bothering this lady. Perhaps she just wants to practice some steps you can do on the dance floor and get to know you a bit better. good luck

Well it could mean many things. For one she could actually want you to come over and practice dancing. She could also want you to do a little more than dancing. Then again she might just like you or she's probably wanting a one night stand with you cuz she mad a bet with her friends that she could get you to sleep with her. You never can tell with women. But most likely she likes you and really wants to dance with you.

Don't read too much into it - race shouldn't be an issue - you obviously didn't think so when you invited her to the formal. Just go and have a good time...whatever happens...happens.

she asked you to practice your dance moves because maybe she knows you are a klutz on the dance floor...or maybe she knows she is a klutz and wants to learn some moves from you...or maybe just maybe she asked you to practice dancing with her before the work formal as apart of secret plot to overthrow the govt and start a dance off to undermine "the establishment"

I am not sure what her race has to do with it. You know this person so maybe there are reasons for saying this. If I were you I would play it straight. I really hope she doesn't have blond hair. It is a really bad track record for black men and blond hair women.
