I always wondered what effect it has on daughters, who know that their dad goes to strip clubs and watches porn?
Does it make you feel bad? Do you resent him for it? Or does it feel ok for you?
I mean for those of you who have close loving relationships with your dad, would you be able to love him the same way if you found out he enjoys porn and going to strip clubs?

He may be a dad, but he's also a man, and it's in thier nature. I don't know of a whole lot of men who don't at least watch porn. I know my dad does. It's not something that we talk about or anything, because it's none of my business. It doesn't effect the way I love him or the respect I have for him. He's still my dad.It may be a bit awkward for a teen or younger person, but once you have grown up, it's not something you think about. I don't know if my dad has ever been to a strip club, nor will I ask, but even if I knew that he had, it wouldn't effect anything. Common sense tells me that he has done at least one of these things, simply because I know my husband has. Men will be men. All men have instincts. It's part of human nature. I'm not saying all men do it, but I'm sure the majority of them have. It's doesn't make me feel bad and I cetainly don't resent him for it. Thanks!

I think it depends on the age of his daughter. As an adult if I find out he's doing these types of things, I wouldn't be as shocked or confused or anything, I would roll my eyes and say "typical" and laugh it off. As a young girl or teenager I think my response would be a little different. They are not mature enough to understand I don't feel. If she had a close relationship with her father or wanted one, I think she would feel he objectified women and maybe act out.
I'll give you an example I know of a man who doesn't use the restroom without permission from his daughter. I mean, it's crazy. She found the porn and started dressing and acting like these women to try and get her father's love (not sexual love, she didn't understand all of that) because she felt those were the kind of women her daddy loved. And since a girls first love is her father, she wanted to make him happy.

More like, Ladies, how do you feel if your mother is a stripper and both her and your dad watch porn and some friends with fake ID's say HEY! I SAW YOUR MOM NAKED! That is more of a reality for me. I have always known that my parents have and watch porn. Large collection of vintage Play boy, very old ones. But the friends seeing your mother nakedd and ragging on you in school is MUCH harder. I don't resent my parents, but knowing latter on that she was also doing heavy drugs at the same time and telling you to stay away from it is worse too. I had a weird childhood. It was hard for me for a while and I resent my mother more than my father. But there is more exsplanation if you refer to my question about her also. But I am cool with porn. I even let my husband watch it and things like that. I have always been aware of such things. It is diffrent for a man to watch porn and go to strip clubs in my mind than women. It gets even weirder tho when your neighbor goes to the strip club just to watch your mom with his lesbian ex wife and her girl friend. Sick and twisted huh?

Just take a knife and stab me before I'd ever find out that my dad was never a real man and needed porn to falsely feel like one. Thank God you're asking and really want to know. The father should think how he would feel to find out that his mom did that? It's ver disturbing for a daughter and I'm sure it would be for a son.

It's always hard, when you find out your father isn't the man you thought he was! The hardest part is accepting the fact that most daughters grow up to marry "their Dad" so you have to be real careful that the man you choose isn't going to go off to strip clubs! (or go on a business trip & come home w/ crabs, like my father did!)

I try not to think about it but at the end of the day he is a man as well as my father so I hope if that is what he enjoys doing that it makes him happy.

I would be extremely disappointed in my dad if he did either of those things. I would still love him but I would be afraid of him. Usually men who enjoy that stuff wind up raping or molesting someone. Usually the girls doing that stuff are young enough to be the man's daughter so it's perverted for grown men to get into that stuff.

My dad never did anything like that. He was an avid feminist, with six daughters. Yet he was so courteous and respectful of us and our mother.
I would be disgusted if my dad had ever done anything like what you mention.

I dont know ,but I think I will lose my respect for him.Even if hes a man ,its so disgraceful to do that.By the way where is ur mom are ur parents seperated?
