For the past few years, I've been noticing my knees make a crunching, cracking sound when I bend them, a lot after I go biking. There's no pain but sometimes just a pressure. It reminds me of how it feels when I need to crack my knuckles and sounds like it too. What gives?

Well, you have air bubbles in the gaps between your bones. When you apply pressure, like a bending motion, the air bubble gets squeezed from the gap, causing a pop,or crunch noise. The same goes with the fingers, toes, spinal collum, elbows, knees, etc. That would explain the sound, The reason your getting a crunch sound is probably the constant movement repitition of your legs, I'm a drummer and my elbows and wrists crunch all the time!!. ow!! lol

placed your legs in a chair and make your legs do a ninety degree attitude while doing crunches . it makes it much less confusing to do them by making use of your self. for the crunchy knee sound... purely verify your getting you calcium and vitiman d

it's a lack of vitamin E which helps circulation by helping the body supply lubricant to our joints. Go to your local drug store and buy a bottle of E and take one daily it may take upto a week before to start to see the crunching going away.
