Ummmmm.... yes they both contain alcohol, but if you think they are just alcohol then you haven't educated yourself. The difference is in the distilling drink. Beer is made from hops, grain, yeast, and water. Liquor is made from the fermenting of a fruit, vegetable, or in the case of rum molasses. The chemical reactions produce different levels of sugars and other chemicals in the drinks. Then they are stored in barrels. These also add chemicals and flavors to the drinks. Educate yourself on these drinks and how they are made and you'll figure it out on your own. (Vodka tends to have the easiest hangovers because it contains almost no sugar.)

No Beer has Malt in it. It's just too much for your body to handle. When you drink like that you are cutting off the oxygen to your brain, that is why when you're drunk you can't walk good and are kind of dizzy. It will only make you sick if you have too much or guzzle all your drinks. If you nurse the drinks and don't get falling down drunk, then you may not get sick. When you do it fast you r liver can't filter it as fast as you drink it, so it goes to the blood stream to the brain. Don't be in a rush to get drunk.

Each kind of alcohol has a different proof or % by volume. They are also different weights. Most likely the sickness comes from the combination of liquor and carbonation of beer and their differences in weight.

Actually its the chemical and natural additives that interact poorly with each other. The darker the alcohol the worse the reaction.
