my former girlfriend wouldnt let me sleep at night a few weeks ago so I broke up with her over that. I really needed a good excuse to break up with her cause I never reallly loved her and just wanted to be with her till camp is over. Just making sure.

please people calm down I am not a jerk. She was really a major ***** in camp and the only reason I went out with her was to piss off some other girls. She got what she deserved.

Last time I checked this is America, land of FREEDOM. You don't need any excuses to break up with anybody, let alone a good excuse. However, if you value this person as a friend, you might want to tell them the truth instead of something vague like lack of sleep.

You don't need a good excuse to break up, it isn't a court case.
But if you were trying to do the dumping without looking like a jerk, then you failed miserably at that. It'd be more respectable to just say you were just unhappy and wanted out.

Lame excuse. Be a man and tell her that it is not working out because you do ot have strong feelings for her. Stand on your own, don't be afraid to fly solo sometimes.

You need to be honest with her and tell her how you feel. It was wrong to lie to her in the begining. Just be honest and clear your conscience. If you care at least a little about her, then you owe her that much.
