Grapefruit should not be eaten if you are on medication for your heart.It can kill you.Not many people know that.

It's probably from the chemicals and enzymes in grapefruit. The skin is actually poisonous, so the pith may contain some of this. Grapefruit also contains a powerful enzyme that is supposed to make you feel energized, so it may be a combination of these two things. Pretty cool.

YES!
I find this also happens when I eat Kiwi Fruit.
And I think I eat too much of it and it sends a burning sensation on my tongue and it makes it all tingly and numb.
Have you tried Kiwi Fruit?
If so I think its because we eat too much of it. Thats why this happens.

it is an allergic reaction most probably to the white fibres of the grapefruit. Just avoid it

You might have a slight allergy. I have the same thing happen when I eat mango and papaya. I would just stop eating if I were you.

The qualities in the fruit can do that to you if you eat to much, pineapple, kiwi and papaya have similar qualities. Eat it in moderation. P.s Use these fruits to marinade tough meat and they will tenderise it for you.

that happened to me, the beta blockers for my heart actually said not to eat grapefruit with them and i hadn't read the leaflet
