Hmmm... Because I am horrible with the names of movie, I would tend to not get to worried. I am always forgetting the names of movie and also I am no good at knowing who was in them.
Is this something that happens frequently? It this normal behaviour? Is this person usually honest? Did the person seem distant or distracted? How has this person been with you since?
Try asking the person out right: "Is something up I should know about?, Is everything ok?"
I like to try to give everyone the benifit of the doubt.

OH YES INDEED! Knowing ur calling at least that person could have had an answer! Does that person not know you well enough? i would be very upset! Where was this person watchin this movie at? Could that person not send u a text letting you know? Or if that person was at home then that is definitely no excuse for not pausing the movie and answering ur call, you could have had an emergency or something!!! NOT NICE!!!

That does sound fishy especiall in the age of digital cable and DVD's. How do you not know the name of the movie you're watching? Interesting.

Man you got control issues ever thought of leaving a message!
I would hate to see if you actually lived together and she didn't call you back immediately after you left a message. If she was f-ing around I wouldn't blame her!
By the way she was and god was she great, sorry she didn't return your call so fast but we only had 3 hours of non stop sex.

maybe they were looking for something to watch and came across that movie and it was too late to find out the name cause it had already started.

firstly it sounds like they didnt want to talk to you and were making an excuse. second dont come across so desperate....call once and they can return the call, if not move on find someone else.
