I have a one yr old dog that pees on my carpet. When we first got her she peed in certain spots and now even though she gets walks and let outside she pees in the spots she had when she first came to us. We use dog pads for the times are not able take her. She especially does this after I shampoo the area she soiled. Is there anything out there that will detour her from peeing in those spots over and over? I am looking for anything that WILL work. Thanks for all your help.

Can't help with the repellent but you may want to try Nature's Miracle to mask the odor so she doesn't goe back to the same spot. It works good for taking care of the odor. Just get a paper towel to absorb the pee and then spray on the NM (soak it) and walk away. You don't have to do anything else with it. I have the pads down as well. They are hit and miss. I'll stand outside with them for 15 minutes waiting for them to go and then when I give up and come back inside then they go. Now I keep them in cages for a while until they work up a good one and then I take them out. They go then but unfortunately they still go on the rug. I think they save some for when they get back in the house :-)

amonia. i had a dog with the same problem, i just got her potty trianed tho. MR. CLEAN makes this floor cleaning stuff for your kitchen with alot of amonia in it. the smell makes the dogs stay clear away from the spot. also if you want , alittle in your trash can keeps them from sniffing in it and pulling stuff out. my parents used to do that for our dog . good luck
